The Pitney Bowes DM500 mailing system is a printer specifically designed for addressing, weighing, and printing onto envelopes. This versatile mailing system can automatically feed, seal, imprint postage and stack uniform mail at speeds of up to 135 letters per minute. The unique machine allows you to print perfect laser text quality postage on every envelope before you send it out. In addition, the mailing system uses Pitney Bowes’ patented Weigh on the Way technology, enabling the machine to process letters and packages of varying sizes and weights in one operation to help save time. Pitney Bowes uses fluorescent ink cartridges which are fairly resistant smudging once dried.
The Pitney Bowes DM500 ink cartridges are very easy to set up and to replace. Each cartridge will yield approximately 15,000 impressions. This unique mailing system was engineered with a flatbed scanner that can handle large envelopes up to 10 x 13 inches. It will also process envelopes with up to 5/8 inch thickness. The Pitney Bowes allows users to preset up to 25 routine jobs for quick handling and greater productivity. And to keep up to date the machine features the IntelliLink® Command Center for postage downloads, software and rate updates. In addition, the mailing system has an Integrated Weighing System measuring up to 75 lbs.
